How I Tracked My 250+ Book Reading Year + Free Template

It can be really overwhelming to keep track of every book you’ve read. Should you use Goodreads? Storygraph? Write them all down in your journal? Just try to remember by counting on your fingers? How could you ever decide?

For me, I needed to use a platform to keep track of my reviews but I also wanted to track statistics. Do the books that I’m reading have BIPOC authors? What about LGBTQIA+ and disability representation? Which publishers do I read from the most often?

Enter the MASTER READING TRACKER TEMPLATE! This year I used a Google Sheet to track allllll of my reading and learned a lot along the way. So for 2023, I’ve refined my tracking and created a template that you can copy for your own purposes. It has the charts of StoryGraph, the categories that most Bookstagrammers are looking for, and the cute pastel colors that make my heart happy.

Seriously… THE CHARTS!! Once you copy the template, you can add and remove features to your heart’s content - I included the statistics that were most important to me but you can just use it as a starting point. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

Want to use the MASTER READING TRACKING TEMPLATE? Click here to access it, then make a copy for your personal use! Be sure to comment with any feedback you have or just to let me know that you’re using it this year.
